Auxiliary skills such as accounting, marketing, legal services, engineering and technical capabilities, community liaison, finance and access to financial sources, public relations and communication, to mention but a few, are available “in house”.

	South African Ostrich Business Chamber Visit the website The SAOBC serves as a co-ordinating body for the ostrich industry to benefit both the producers and the processors of ostriches and ostrich products. The Mission of the SAOBC is to promote a sustainable, economically viable ostrich industry through co-operation between stakeholders.

	South African National Biodiversity Institute Visit the website The South African National Biodiversity Institute was established on 1 September 2004 through the signing into force of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004 by President Thabo Mbeki. The Act expanded the mandate of SANBI's forerunner, the National Botanical Institute to include responsibilities relating to the full diversity of South Africa's fauna and flora, and built on the internationally respected programmes in conservation, research, education and visitor services developed over the past century by the National Botanical Institute.
	Elsenburg Visit the website The Western Cape Department of Agriculture is a provincial government department that provides a wide range of development, research and support services to the agricultural community in the Western Cape. The Western Cape is one of nine provinces in South Africa. 	University of Stellenbosch – Centre of Excellence in Invasion Biology Visit the website The C•I•B is an inter-institutional Centre of Excellence established in 2004 within the DST-NRF Centres of Excellence Programme. Its members undertake research on the biodiversity consequences of biological invasions, largely through post-graduate student training. The principal aims of the Centre's work are to reduce the rates and impacts of biological invasions by furthering scientific understanding and predictive capability, and by developing research capacity. The C•I•B has its physical home at the University of Stellenbosch, but comprises a network of senior researchers and their associated postdoctoral associates and graduate students throughout South Africa.
